Do you charge for travel time to go and get the parts when on the job?
Occasionally we charge to go and get parts if we find that a part requires replacing and can be detrimental to the vehicles road worthiness and to your safety – otherwise we only charge for time actually working on the vehicle or equipment, where some parts for equipment & machinery that have no parts listings physically need to be matched by the tradesman and time to source parts will be equal to our labour time in doing so.

Will I know how much the car service or car repair will end up costing?
Initially during the booking stage All States will gather as much information about your vehicle and any prior defects, then create an estimate and send to you for review, there is no such thing as a quote in the field of Mechanics - we operate like a Doctor or Vet.
Our technicians will also explain to you over the phone or on site whilst repairing your vehicle any other defects noticed at the time and will send you an itemized estimate of work required and costs - you are always in control of the cost and will not get a nasty surprise.

Do I have to pay on the day and what payments do you accept?
Yes; Payment needs to be made at the completion of each job and service job sheet signed By law, we accept all card types and mobile EFTPOS is available – also EFT payments are accepted (namely account and fleet customers whom have 30 day trading accounts) Master and Visa cards incur a 1.5% surcharge, American Express cards will incur a 1.5% surcharge plus GST as that’s what their bank charges us.
Please call us for more details regarding payments if you are short on funds, usually a 50% deposit is required to cover such parts and lubricants then final payment is required at the completion of the job before the vehicle can be released.

What is your warranty?
All States will warranty new parts that carry a 12/20 warranty by the Australian dealer or supplier by law for all road vehicles only, any special parts that need to be purchased from overseas for rare vehicles that are not carried by local Australian suppliers will not have a warranty, Civil and Mining vehicles only carry a 3 month warranty or by defined machine hours – All States will not cover 2nd hand parts, if you wish to select a second hand part to be fitted to your vehicle nor the labour to rectify that part (as this is a risk that you accept and not ours! Thus, we will give you the option first) labour will only have warranty if it is considered a fault of our own and we must be contacted in the first instance of any discrepancy that occurs, if no fault of our own then a service charge applies to inspect.
If you choose to use another repairer before contacting us and giving us the first option to rectify such discrepancy, then your warranty will be considered void.

Does All States do other repairs other than car repairs?
Yes – we carry out repairs to everything from a whipper snipper to mining equipment – auto electrical and air conditioning to marine repairs and servicing, we are fully equipped to cater for all facets of the motor trades.

Are your technicians qualified?
Our technicians are highly skilled, licensed and ticketed for the type of repair they are to perform and have extensive years of experience in their trade (namely they have completed their trade in Australia which is second to none in the world of the automotive and vehicle industry)

Are your trades people contractors or employees?
All States technicians are sometimes contractors (namely for roadside assistance) but mainly employees of the company, so you can be assured that no short cuts are taken. 

How long does it take for your technician to come to me?
We usually organise the same or next day bookings except Sundays and our technicians can usually cater for 2 to 3 services a day as a normal log book service requires usually 1.8 to 3 hours to complete depending on the type of service your vehicle is due for, BEWARE THE SCAM you will find that most dealers and other multinational companies will try and bring your log book service back 5,000 km to cash in quicker on your vehicle, also they will ask you to leave it here for the day and call you when they finish though they are doing you no favors by this as your log book will not line up to the correct service intervals and you will loose on your resale value of your vehicle when the time comes – also a good qualified Mechanic can service and repair your vehicle in half the book time required to service and repair your vehicle so beware of the scam as you will be paying full price for your service and repairs and not the actual real time worked - so that's why mobile is cheaper because you actually get to see how long it takes, so the sooner you book with us the better.

What hours do you operate?
Our first arrival time is usually 8:00 am through to our last arrival time of 3.00 pm (dependent on workload time of year with the seasons and traffic conditions) on going mechanical repairs usually carry through to close of business 5 pm after which our AVRAA Roadside Assistance starts and carries through to 7:00 am the Next morning and bookings can also be made during these times – just phone 0499040163 All States technicians come to you for car service or repair five and a half days a week – Monday to Saturday lunch time (our work shop has the same hours) and there is “no surge charge” on Saturdays – public holidays are our time off, though our Roadside Assistance is available but sometimes limited during these times.

So you would like to know how our pricing works?
Well this depends on what you require from us as we always do our best to give you a fixed price up front estimate based on the daily pricing from our suppliers as these can fluctuate regularly with world currencies and the changing world and we do our best to be as accurate as possible.
If you are unsure what is wrong, and need a mechanic to just come out and fix the car or machine, we charge a $95.00 call out fee within city areas and a $115.00 call out fee outside a 20 kmh radius up to 30 kmh the cities P.O. labour repair cost of $140.00 an hour including GST plus parts and lubricants if we can get you mobile within the hour.

After hours roadside assistance costs will be discussed by the call centre.
